IBCLC lactation consultants are able to provide you with valuable breastfeeding support, guidance, and education.
You are provided with unique and tailored support with ongoing continuity of care throughout your pregnancy and during your breastfeeding journey.
You are provided with evidence-based education and support during all consultations.
By seeing an IBCLC lactation consultant, you are ensuring that you receive consistent advice and help for your breastfeeding concerns.
An IBCLC lactation consultant is able to create an individualised, personal plan by spending one-on-one time with you and your baby and assessing any breastfeeding challenges you may be having.
Seeing a private IBCLC lactation consultant means being able to book a consultation for when it suits you and your family, including late afternoons and weekends.
Many IBCLC lactation consultants such as myself can also provide additional support, such as sleep and settling, the introduction of complementary foods, returning to work challenges, and overall support.
We know that by providing women with breastfeeding education, they are twice as likely to successfully breastfeed till six months.
By seeking breastfeeding education before your baby arrives, you can prepare and provide yourself with the skills and techniques to be able to successfully breastfeed. Knowledge is power, and seeing an IBCLC lactation consultant antenatally will provide you with education on positioning and attachment, how to get your baby to latch the best they can, and how to maintain a good latch, as well as giving you the best start with your milk supply.
You will go into your breastfeeding journey feeling confident and empowered.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have to put any uncertain feelings at ease.
Breastfeeding can be challenging at the best of times. If you have an added challenge, for example, inverted or flat nipples, it is beneficial for you to seek support early on before your baby arrives. This gives you the opportunity to discuss these potential challenges and be well equipped with how to work through them.
Breastfeeding is a skill that you and your baby learn together through practice. Attending a consultation antenatally will allow you to feel prepared and confident. You will learn skills to set yourself up for a successful breastfeeding journey.
You will be provided with a schedule of my fees for the different consultations I provide upon making your booking. I will do my very best to work with you to be able to provide a much-needed service, no matter your circumstances. I wish I could provide my services for free, as I believe every mother should be given the opportunity to seek support and guidance from a lactation consultant. I am more than happy to work out a payment plan if needed.
You can choose to pay with Afterpay, EFTPOS, or direct deposit for your convenience.
